Occupy Edmonton is concerned about how corporate interests are infecting our political institutions, dictating public policy and decimating the environment. We are also concerned about a system that puts the hunger for profits above the health and well being of all our communities.

City of Edmonton 2012 Budget Public Hearing

Register to speak out against the city’s $10.5 million budget cut, or the raise in property tax that applies to all of us but not to the arena.

To register to speak you must phone 780-496-8178 from 8am-4:30pm or on line at this link: http://webproxy.edmonton.ca/forms/requesttospeak/default.aspx (must be done by 4:30 the day prior, i.e. tomorrow).

You can also register the day of up until the time the meeting starts (9:30 am).

Speakers have five minutes each and Councillors might ask questions
(they never ask US questions, though, only THEM)
