Dear Occupiers,

it seems this protest has blown up around the world, but my question is why? in the case of Wallstreet if those people lose their Job they will be taking yours, we live in a society where people are rewarded for the credentials and hardwork, unfortunately most of you people dont have either of these.

My suggestion to you is instead of wasting your time camping out, WHY DONT YOU GET A FUCKING JOB!!! MAYBE A COLLEGE DEGREE! AND STOP BLAMING THE WEALTHY FOR BEING WEALTHY AND START BLAMING YOURSELF FOR BEING A FUCKING RETARD!

Thank you for your time,

Wallstreet3 ;)

This movement isn't about blaming the wealthy for being wealthy. You've got it wrong there. It's about wanting serious change to a system where, for example, over the last 30-40 years, the wealthiest 1% have seen an increase in income of approx. 250-300% or more, while the rest of us have seen very little increase. 10-20% over 30 years is ludicrous, when enormous wealth is being created - and such a large percentage of it goes to those who already have the bulk of the wealth.

North America continues to bleed away manufacturing and other decent jobs, so that corporations can use workers in Asia in what sometimes amounts to little better than slave labor. (Check out where and how your Apple I-pod is made.) Meanwhile, the middle class keeps shrinking in size. More and more jobs are low-pay, and/or designated as part-time (few, if any, benefits).

These are just a couple of points. Capitalism can do some things very well. But a country / society, is not a business. Yet our politicians increasingly act as if it is.

Occupy Edmonton has helped to raise people's awareness of a global movement responding to global corporatism. Maintaining the camp required tremendous efforts by people who, for the most part, do have jobs, and a wide range of educational backgrounds.

I would like to point out that when the government uses tax dolars to bail out failing business, even the invisible hand is in handcuffs!!
