We apologize for getting this to you late, but we have an agenda for tonight. This is hopefully the beginning of regularly using the Occupy Edmonton Forum to put out meeting agendas to the broader public and supportive community around Occupy.

We would like to start putting the agenda out there in advance (and earlier than this) because having an advance agenda makes the meeting and its consensus-based process run smoother.

The General Assembly meets 6:30 at Grant Macewan University City Centre Campus these days (107 St. & 104 Ave.)

Please bring pen and paper with you, or whatever you use to write.

We meet in the Cafeteria in the Bottom floor, 106 Bldg.
The cafeteria is east of the main entrance (clock tower.)

As well, Working Groups get there a little earlier, at 6, to iron out proposals and plans so complete ideas and quick summaries can be brought to the GA.

Today, the Facebook admins are meeting there at 5:30, because we have a bit more business to take care of. Specifically we want to revive / become the Internal Communications working group.

How we sorted out this agenda

Phil collected and posted some items that were suggested at the last GA of this GA.

I (Rob) have met with and canvassed quite a few people this week to ask what their concerns are. There are serious tensions in about three issues: internal communications, finance group membership, and overall, the relationship of Working Groups to the GA.

Taking in additional input from conversations on Google Groups, Phil and I have come up with an agenda for the meeting. Please email me (occupyedmontontimes@gmail.com) if something needs to be seriously corrected and I will put out a correction. We can discuss additions to the list at the meeting.

Phil has asked me to put this in a coherent order so I am doing my best here. We can talk quickly about re-arranging or modifying these items at the beginning of the GA.

Without further ado:

THE AGENDA

1) Bullet point updates - excluding: Facebook / internal comm, Finance, Gear Update for now.
— please leave proposals and discussions out of this for now, and write down your concerns and questions.

Immediate logistical needs:
2) Claiming gear from Police lock up
3) Tent Donation to Calgary

Addressing tensions around some issues:
4) Facebook and internal communications
5) Working Group membership, autonomy, and accountability to the GA
6) Finances and membership of finance working group excluding gear update

(Internal comm stuff is first because the proposal we want to bring to the table will nicely segue-way into talking about WG membership, autonomy, and accountability.)

7) Activist Burnout and post-camp tensions, and what community can do to support / alleviate.

This is what you need to bring a pencil and paper for.

8) Gear update. What is happening with OWS, if money is coming how will it be spent, etc.
9) Discussion around other WG updates.

Thanks. This may be a somewhat long GA, and there may be more insertions that need to be immediate, please bring these to the GA and we will discuss.

If someone can arrange for an easel, paper and markers to be there that would be AWESOME! We may need to "scribe" some of our thoughts and input.
